About me

My name is Carl Weis, I’m a senior Web and Mobile engineer. I’ve been programming for over 20 years now and love it even more every day. It all started when I was 11 years old and wanted to learn how to build PC games. I started by teaching myself C, and then C++. That was so long ago now…since then I’ve learned a ton of languages(C, C++, Pascal, Basic, C#, Java, Objective-C, PHP, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, SQL and many more.), frameworks and technologies, worked for multiple companies and software shops, helped launch startups and freelanced for a few years as well.

I’ve been fortunate enough to work on some really cool projects and even got the chance to build an arcade game for the Xbox 360, years ago. Some of the projects I worked on include, a Political Social Fundraising platform (Angel Politics), OS simulator for Panasonic, which allows doctors to do blood tests instantly, build out a complete backend/frontend system for a study abroad college, which, included the backend system for the staff and administrators, student portals, alumni portals, and a multitude of tools for the school to conduct their day-to-day business, and a very large VOIP/Lead/Call Tracking application for the PODS storage network, which is used by thousands of people everyday.

I enjoy challenging projects, that add benefit to people and their daily lives. As an engineer I feel like we have super powers…we can create business out of nothing, automate business processes, and help take and idea and build it into a thriving company, that can truly make a difference.

When I’m not crunching bits and pushing pixels, I play the guitar and piano, hitting the skateparks and taking it easy.
